Arsenal 'have turned down a bid for Mohamed Elneny from Galatasaray' on Turkey's transfer deadline day.
Mikel Arteta sees the Egyptian midfielder as an important part of his plans this season and the north London club are opting not to sell, according to Sky Sports.
Elneny only has one year remaining on his current contract and Galatasaray could yet return with an improved offer.
The 29-year-old is one of the most improved players at Arsenal under Arteta having signed for the club from Basel in 2016.
