Arsenal have held discussions over a cut-price move for Ajax keeper Andre Onana.
The 25-year old was banned in February for a year after testing positive for Furosemide but is hopeful it will be reduced after lodging an appeal claiming he took his wife’s medication by mistake.
Ajax have decided to sell as they failed to agree a new contract and his current deal runs out next summer. As a consequence, Arsenal believe they could sign him for around £7million.
The Cameroon international was valued at £25m last summer amid interest from Chelsea.
