Arsenal lack the leadership of a no-nonsense ‘bully’ in the mould of former captain Patrick Vieira, according to Dean Saunders.

The former Liverpool and Aston Villa striker, and mid-morning co-host, has joined the rabble questioning why Kieran Gibbs ended Wednesday’s shambolic 5-1 Champions League defeat at Bayern Munich as captain.

It was a surprise to many when the 27-year-old full back, who isn’t a regular starter for the Gunners, was handed the armband by Laurent Koscielny after the Frenchman was forced off with injury early in the second-half.
