Former Arsenal winger Perry Groves says the club must appoint a high-profile manager to replace Arsene Wenger, after the Frenchman confirmed he will leave the club at the end of the season.

The 68-year-old revealed in a shock announcement on Friday morning that he will step down as Gunners boss in May after close to 22 years at the helm.

Wenger’s future at the club has been uncertain for months and a host of coaches have been linked with his job, including the likes of Rafael Benitez, Thomas Tuchel and recently Patrick Vieira.
