Arsenal loanee William Saliba sends 'strong' message to Marseille 'that he wants to STAY at the club next season rather than return to the Emirates' after recently winning the Ligue 1 young player of the year award

Arsenal loanee William Saliba has reportedly told Marseille that he would like to stay with the club next season.

RMC Sport have reported that the Ligue 1 young player of the year has sent a 'strong' and 'clear' message in recent days to the club's management over his desires to remain at Marseille.

Saliba joined Arsenal in 2019 for £27million but has yet to play a game for the Gunners.

This has been the third season he has been loaned out to a club in France after prior stints at Saint-Etienne and Nice.
