Arsenal have submitted a £35million bid for Shakhtar Donetsk star Mykhaylo Mudryk as Gunners boss Mikel Arteta targets a busy January transfer window.
The initial bid is supported by £17.6million in add-ons according to reports with Mudryk keen on pushing through a January move to the Emirates.
However, Donetsk are reportedly holding out for more with the Champions League Ukrainian side believing they can negotiate a higher fee with a number of top European clubs interested in the 21-year-old.
Talks between the player's agent and Arsenal's representatives are now expected to take place with the winger focused on securing a move to the Premier League leaders.
