Arsenal insist that there have been no bids for the club despite the flurry of activity that has surrounded Spotify founder and billionaire Daniel Ek expressing his interest in a takeover.
Club legend Thierry Henry has publicly backed the Swedish billionaire’s plans for the club and fellow Invincibles, Patrick Vieira and Dennis Bergkamp, are said to be supportive, after fans’ discontent reached breaking point with owner Stan Kroenke attempt to join the breakaway Super League, a situation intensified by Arsenal’s failures on the pitch.
Ek tweeted that he was interested in buying the club on April 23rd but the club and sources close to Kroenke have said they have no interest in selling.
