Arsenal FC injury news: Full-back Mathieu Debuchy out for SIX WEEKS with ‘severe’ hamstring injury

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has confirmed Mathieu Debuchy is facing a further six weeks out with a ‘severe’ hamstring injury.

The French full-back has struggled for regular game time for the Gunners since arriving from Newcastle in 2014, having made just 13 Premier League appearances.

He seemed ready for a longer spell in the team after recovering from a hamstring problem and returning to action against Bournemouth last weekend, only for him to suffer the same injury just 16 minutes into the match.

Reports had claimed Arsenal were looking to offload the 31-year-old in the January transfer window, with a loan move back to his homeland mooted, but now it seems their plans have been scuppered.
