Hector Bellerin has lived here for only five years, but England has already left an unmistakable mark on the Spaniard. It is most noticeable when he talks, in an accent that is approximately 70 per cent north London.
The twang is only part of Bellerin's immersion in his local culture. On the pitch, the Arsenal right-back, who has been ruled out of the Gunners' remaining November fixtures with an ankle injury, has adapted so well to the English game that Rio Ferdinand recently acclaimed him as "probably the best right-back in the Premier League right now".
