Arsenal are monitoring Sassuolo striker Gregoire Defrel.
Arsene Wenger has dispatched scouts to watch the French forward on three occasions this season and the 25-year-old has also been watched by Premier League rivals Liverpool.
Defrel was a target for Crystal Palace and Swansea earlier this year and has kicked on with his performances by scoring seven goals in his last eight games, including the winner against Udinese on Sunday.
Though born in France, Defrel has spent all of his professional career in Italy having previously played for Parma, Foggia and Cesena.
