Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta insists it is 'NOT the moment' for Lucas Torreira to make any decisions over his future after Uruguayan emotionally declared he wants to play for Boca Juniors and be closer to his family after his mother's death

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has urged Lucas Torreira not to make any hasty decision surrounding his future following the Uruguayan midfielder's emotional plea to let him leave this summer.

The midfielder, currently on loan at Atletico Madrid from Arsenal, declared that he wants to return to play in South America after his mother Viviana Di Pascua tragically died aged just 53 after contracting coronavirus.

Torreira confirmed that he wants to play for boyhood club Boca Juniors in an emotional statement regarding his future - a move that would enable him to be closer to his family following his mother's death.
