Arsenal are close to agreeing personal terms with Jurrien Timber ahead of an improved bid for the Ajax defender.
Timber, together with Declan Rice and Kai Havertz, have emerged as Mikel Arteta’s three priority summer signings.
The Gunners have a deal in principle concluded with Timber over personal terms.
Mail Sport understands that Timber will earn a minimum of £90,000-per-week at the Emirates with achievable add-ons that will push his wage closer to £120,000-per-week.
Those terms will be formally agreed once Arsenal and Ajax reach an agreement over the 22-year-old’s transfer fee.
