There is growing confidence that Arsenal are close to an agreement with Shakhtar Donetsk over a January deal for Mykhailo Mudryk.
Sources in Ukraine say discussions over a move for the Ukraine international – believed to be worth between £75million and £80million - are still ongoing.
Shakhtar set an asking price of £88million for the 22-year-old and it’s understood Arsenal could now be prepared to offer more than £50m up front.
