Arsenal 4-1 West Ham: Arsene Wenger's men earn flattering win against Hammers

Arsenal managed to win their first game since it was announced Arsene Wenger was leaving at the end of the season with a 4-1 victory over West Ham.

The scoreline suggests it was a comfortable win for the Gunners, but it was anything but when Marko Arnautovic’s fierce strike cancelled out Nacho Monreal’s opener.

However, the course of the game changed when Aaron Ramsey’s 82nd-minute cross-cum-shot from the left found its way into net after Declan Rice inexplicably ducked away from the cross.

Alexandre Lacazette added two more late goals to ensure Arsenal finished the game with a flourish and they head into their huge Europa League first leg against Atletico Madrid on Thursday in good spirits.
