Alisher Usmanov considers selling 30 per cent share in Arsenal after growing frustrated in attempts to take over from majority owner Stan Kroenke

Russian tycoon Alisher Usmanov is considering selling his 30 per cent stake in Arsenal after giving up hope of acquiring the club outright, according to The Financial Times.

The Uzbekistan-born billionaire has found majority owner Stan Kroenke unwilling to engage in takeover talks despite repeated attempts.

Usmanov had previously made a $1.3 billion (£990m) offer to buy out Kroenke, but the American said his 67 per cent share in the Premier League club was not for sale.
