Ajax have agreed a £12million fee with Middlesbrough for striker Chuba Akpom who was also wanted by Sheffield United and Lens.
The 27-year-old is due to travel to Holland for a medical on Monday.
A former Arsenal youth player, Akpom joined Greek side PAOK in 2018, before moving back to the UK to join Middlesbrough in 2020.
He signed for Boro on a £2.75m deal, going on to score 34 goals in 82 appearances across all competitions for the club.
Twenty-eight of those goals came during last season's championship, with the England youth-grade striker enjoying a prolific season.
