Alex Iwobi played a key role in Nigeria’s 2-1 win over South Africa on Wednesday night, helping them seal their place in the semi-final of the competition.
It was a scrappy start to the game with both sides struggling to maintain possession - but through a charging run and a deflected pass by Iwobi, Samuel Chukwueze received the ball inside the area and fired past Daniel Akpeyi.
South Africa bounced back after the break through Bongani Zungu’s looping header.
