WEST POINT, N.Y. – With the 2017 lacrosse season a week away, the Army West Point women's lacrosse team has been voted ninth in the preseason Patriot League Poll.

"The core of the team now has over a year of Division 1 experience under their belts and we add to them a super talented freshman class," said Noto Family Women's Lacrosse Coach Kristen Skiera. "We have more upperclassmen as leaders who now know what it takes to succeed at this level, and the team has set the bar high for this season. We really want to use our out of conference games at the beginning of the season to continue to grow and work on our execution so that we are a tough team to beat once Patriot League games roll around.
