NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Kelsey Minato scored 20 points in the second half to finish with a game-high 27 points and helped the Army West Point women's basketball team erase an 11-point deficit and come out with a 65-61 win over Yale on Thursday night at the Lee Amphitheater. Minato became the program's all-time leading scorer, finishing the evening with 1,951 career points.
Minato surpassed the previous standard of 1,941 points set by Army Hall-of-Famer Katie Macfarlane (USMA '04) in 2004. Minato shot 16-of-18 from the foul line and added a season-best six assists, while sophomore Janae McNeal totaled career bests of 11 points and six boards.
