HAMILTON, N.Y. – The Army West Point volleyball team (14-11, 11-5 PL) dropped the Patriot League semifinal match to American (15-15, 7-9 PL) in straight sets. Army's Paige Fixemer and Savannah Bray led the Black Knights' efforts with seven kills each.
Army held the #2 seed going into the Patriot League Tournament and American was the #3 seed.
Army had a tough start in the first set, going down 8-1 until an American service error got the Black Knights back on the board. A series of attack and block errors by Army set the team back greatly.
