WEST POINT, N.Y. - The Army West Point softball team shut down Lehigh 1-0 in game two of the doubleheader on Saturday afternoon after dropping game one to the Mountain Hawks in a three hour marathon.
The Black Knights did not allow a hit in the first inning and only one Mountain Hawk made it on base after being hit by a pitch. Army was able to load the bases in the bottom half of the first off a hit from Rashenskas, the first of the game, to left center. Emily Gray advanced her to second with a hit down the left field line before Gladys Esparza-Gallegos was walked.
