JACKSONVILLE, FL - Army West Point softball (6-17) fell by a score of 2-0 to Northern Kentucky (5-15) to close out the UNF Tournament on Sunday morning.
tossed a complete game for the Black Knights, allowing just one earned while striking out four.
The game was a true pitchers dual through four innings, as neither team was able to push across a run early. Army logged all three of its hits off Alicia Flores in those first four frames, with , and each hitting singles which eventually saw them left on base.
Northern Kentucky was finally able to break through in the top of the fifth inning, with a one-out RBI single bringing home the games first run after a leadoff double.
