WACO, TX – In the final day of the Getterman Classic hosted by Baylor, the Black Knights played a doubleheader against Longwood and Baylor.
Game 1 vs. Longwood: Army attacked early, scoring two runs in the first inning after a Brook Mitchell walked and Ellie Caldwell and Taylor Brown reached on errors to score Mitchell and Caldwell.
Amanda Eaglin started for the Black Knights and went 2.2 innings giving up seven hits and two earned runs.
The Lancers struck in the top of the third inning when Lauren Taylor hit a solo home run to left field and Emily Vinson hit an RBI double to tie the game at 2-2.
