West Point, NY - The Army men's rugby team (3-4-1) battled hard but ultimately came up short against Navy (11-0).
How it Happened
The Black Knights opened up the scoring just seven minutes into the game to take an early 7-0 lead. Senior VC Dom Tianga scored the first try of the match while fellow senior Jonny Haley scored the conversion. These would be the only Army points in the first half, as Navy went on to get the next five scores through the next 30 minutes. The Midshipmen would get a penalty kick halfway through the first followed by a try and a successful conversion to take a 10-7 lead with just over ten minutes remaining in the first half.
