PISCATAWAY, N.J. - Cole Johnson scored three goals in the fourth quarter, but the Army West Point men's lacrosse team couldn't complete the comeback against 18th-ranked Rutgers in a 12-10 loss on Saturday at High Point Solutions Stadium.
Army (1-1) was led by Johnson's five goals, while the Black Knights had five other goal scorers. AJ Barretto finished with nine saves in the loss.
The Scarlet Knights (2-0) got a huge game from goalie Max Edelmann as he made 15 saves, including five during Army's furious comeback in the fourth quarter. Jules Heningburg led the offense with three goals, while Christian Scarpello finished with three points with two goals and an assist.
