WEST POINT, N.Y. – Following a pair of impressive performances over the weekend, junior Parker Gahagen and sophomore Nicole Heavirland have each earned Army Athletic Association Athlete of the Week recognition.
Gahagen stopped 23 shots to earn his second career shutout and first of the season against Connecticut on Nov. 10. He stopped 10 in the first period and helped Army secure a 2-0 win for its first victory of the season.
The Buffalo, N.Y., native has appeared in five games between the pipes for Army and is coming up on his 50th career appearance.
