BETHLEHEM, PA – Army West Point sophomore Christian Fournier has been named Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week, the league announced Monday afternoon.
Fournier was instrumental in Army's 12-10 come from behind win over Lehigh on Saturday. He caused three turnovers, including one highlight real check. The Austin, Texas native checked the attackers stick out of his hands forcing the ball to come loose, he also grabbed four ground balls.
The sophomore leads the team with 16 caused turnovers on the year.
Reese Burek and Evan Plunkett were also named to Honorable Mentions for their efforts in the win over Lehigh.
