MANHATTAN, KS.– The Army West Point baseball team (4-3, 0-0 PL) fell to the Kansas State Wildcats (5-5, 0-0, XII) 3-1 in Game 1 Friday night. Army's Braden Golinski went 2-4, had an RBI and a stolen base.
How it Happened
After three scoreless innings, the Wildcats struck first, attacking Army's starter Tanner Gresham (0-1), getting on the board with a 2-run home run by Raphael Pena, giving Kansas State an early 2-0 lead.
Gresham worked 6.0 innings, giving up five hits, three runs, had eight strikeouts, and walked three.
