CLEBURNE, TEXAS - Army West Point Baseball (2-1) could not complete the three-game sweep on Sunday, falling to rival Air Force Academy (1-2), 9-3 in the final game of the Liberty Classic.
Air Force jumped on Army starter Bryce Brownlee (0-1) early, as 3B Jay Thomason hit a two-run HR in the first inning.
Brownlee only worked 2.1 innings, giving up three hits and three runs and striking out three.
Army responded in the top of the second when 2B Brett Copeland hit an RBI double that plated Ross Friedrick to make it a one-run game.
