WEST POINT, NY - Army West Point hockey (7-16-1, 5-11-1 Atlantic Hockey) fell by a score of 8-1 in game one a two-game set against Air Force (12-12-1, 9-5-1 Atlantic Hockey) on Friday night from Tate Rink.
Army fired a season-high 41 shots on goal in the contest, as Guy Blessing was up to the task all night for the Falcons, making 40 saves in total.
The Black Knights were snakebitten on the power-play, surrendering a pair of shorthanded goals in the first period as Air Force got out to an early lead.
The first goal of the game came on the power-play for the the Falcons, as Luke Rowe finished off a feed from Will Gavin to beat in the Army goal.
