The UALR and Arkansas State men's basketball teams are heading in opposite directions.
While the Trojans stumbled on the road at Texas State last weekend -- swept by the Bobcats for the second time this season -- the Red Wolves sailed to a pair of victories over Louisiana-Lafayette.
The in-state rivals' disparate paths converge this weekend -- first at 7:30 p.m. in Jonesboro tonight, then at 5 p.m. Saturday in Little Rock -- with UALR (10-9, 6-6 Sun Belt) and ASU (8-9, 5-5) both at .500 in conference play.
ASU scored 95 points last Friday, its most in a regular-season conference game since 2000, then shot a season-high 57.
