Cullen Ray scored the winning run for the Red Wolves (18-27, 9-16 SBC) after he reached on a hit-by-pitch with one out in the 10th inning. Following a strikeout, Tipton stepped up to the plate and drove a 1-2 pitch into left field that was bobbled by Eagles’ outfielder Mason McWhorter, which allowed Ray to score by sliding in safely ahead of the throw to plate.
Arkansas State carried a 4-3 lead into the ninth inning, but the Eagles (25-23, 14-10) were able to score the tying and go-ahead runs thanks to a number of Red Wolves’ defensive miscues.
