The Red Wolves (21-7, 13-1 SBC) did see their eight-match sweep streak end, but extended the winning streak to nine as the team became the 18th program in NCAA Division I history to win 1,000 matches. A-State tied its season high with 11 blocks (Aug. 27 vs. North Carolina State) and hit .222 to a .103 mark for the Mavericks (13-15, 7-6 SBC).
“We knew UTA had the potential to give us a tough match,” A-State head volleyball coach David Rehr said.
