The University of South Florida announced Monday it has hired Arkansas State men’s basketball Coach Bryan Hodgson to fill its head coaching vacancy.
CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein first reported the deal on Monday, and Field of 68 co-owner Jeff Goodman reported the deal is for six years.
Reports of the South Florida deal came hours after Hodgson emerged as the top candidate for UNLV’s coaching vacancy, according to Pete Nakos of On3.com. Both South Florida and Arkansas State released statements confirming the move.
