After parting ways with Tommy Raffo, who led the Arkansas State baseball program for 16 years, Mike Silva takes over the reins as the Red Wolves' new head coach.
Silva comes to Jonesboro after leading the program at Nicholls State the previous three seasons. He engineered a dramatic turnaround at Nicholls State, winning back-to-back Southland Conference championships in 2023 and 2024.
ASU finished 21-32-1 in 2024, 7-22-1 in league play last season. The Red Wolves are picked to finish last out of the 14 teams in the Sun Belt Conference in Silva's first season.
ASU opens the season Friday against Morehead in the first of a three-game series at Tomlinson Stadium in Jonesboro.
