JONESBORO, Ark. (11/5/18) – Led by three players scoring in double figures, the Arkansas State women’s basketball team claimed an 84-61 exhibition victory over Arkansas-Monticello Monday night at First National Bank Arena. Playing their final preseason game, the Red Wolves collected their second exhibition win after also knocking off Arkansas-Fort Smith 100-73 on Oct. 30. A-State now holds a 28-0 record in exhibition contests since the 2005-06 season.
“It is now time to move forward after getting both exhibitions outs of the way,” A-State head coach Brian Boyer said. “I was disappointed with all the fouls and I think it just drained us and kept us from getting out in transition, but the good thing is we resolved it from that point.
