CONWAY -- Arkansas State collected 12 runs on 13 hits as it won its first road game of the season, cruising to a 12-2, seven-inning victory over Central Arkansas on Wednesday evening at Bear Stadium.
ASU (11-13) got off to a fast start, scoring three runs in the top of the first inning. Wil French opened the scoring with a leadoff solo home run. Later in the inning, Drake Anderson hit a single to left that scored a pair of runs following an error by Bears left fielder Zeb Allen. UCA had issues defensively throughout the contest, committing four errors.
