MILWAUKEE, Wisc. (11/11/18) – The Arkansas State women’s bowling team advance to the championship match of the Warhawk Classic but dropped a thrilling seven-game match to McKendree to finish as the runner-up of the event Sunday afternoon.
A-State (25-13) dropped the first game of the championship to the Bearcats 228-211 but bounced back to even things up at a game each with 195-193 victory in game two. McKendree took the lead back with a 227-190 win in the third game, but A-State won games four (206-205) and five (255-182) to go up 3-2 in the match.
McKendree evened the match at 3-3 with a 279-184 in game six and then clinched the tournament title with a 268-184 win in the decisive seventh game.
