Red Wolves’ Ninth-Inning Rally Falls Short in 5-4 Loss at Texas State

SAN MARCOS, Texas (3/22/25) – Arkansas State baseball dropped a back-and-forth affair to Texas State, falling 5-4 Saturday afternoon at Bobcat Ballpark.

A-State (10-12, 2-3 SBC) out-hit the Bobcats (10-12, 2-3) 12-7, led by three hits each from Wil French (3-for-5) and Patrick Engskov (3-for-4). Engskov accounted for two of the Red Wolves' runs scored, while French reached as the tying run with a single in the ninth.

Cross Jumper and Kaden Amundson also recorded multi-hit outings with two apiece. Cason Tollet drove in a pair of runs, with he and Amundson tallying doubles.
