A-State finished the game with three total turnovers. Senior Quarterback Fredi Knighten threw two interceptions, and finished the game 14-28 for 137 yards. Warren Wand, who led all rushers with 12 carries for 66 yards and one touchdown, also turned it over, by committing a fumble.
On the other side, the A-State defense was unable to stop the Bulldog offense all night. Quarterback Jeff Driskel finished the game 26-37 for 457 yards and three touchdown passes. Louisiana Tech running back Kenneth Dixon finished the game with 91 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries.
A-State went into the contest knowing the would be without the services of Chris Stone and Tyler Trosin.
