A-State (7-4, 5-2 Sun Belt) finished with 445 yards of total offense with Hatcher throwing for 354 yards on 19-of-24 passing. Jamal Jones had 10 carries for 74 yards while Murray had 13 rushes for 37 yards as the Red Wolves had 91 yards on the ground. Georgia Southern (6-5, 4-3 Sun Belt) finished with 481 yards of offense, 299 yards rushing and 182 yards through the air.
“The victory formation is the best formation in football when you get a chance to get to it, but I wasn’t sure if we’d ever get there,” said A-State head coach Blake Anderson.
