ARLINGTON, Texas (2/4/18) – The Arkansas State women’s bowling team finished as the runner-up at the Prairie View A&M Invitational after falling to McKendree in the championship match Sunday at the International Research and Training Center in Arlington, Texas.
A-State began the day with a 1,148-1,023 win over Sam Houston State in the event’s final traditional team match to clinch the top seed in the bracket portion as Julia Huren bowled a 254 and Jordan Richard rolled a 248. The team turned around and faced the fourth-seeded Bearkats in its first best-of-seven Baker match and defeated SHSU 4-1 (217-248, 217-194, 205-178, 214-185, 191-181) to advance to the championship.
