Pyeatt Wins SBC Individual Cross Country Crown, A-State Men & Women Finish Second

FOLEY, Ala. (11/1/24) – Jacob Pyeatt led from start-to-finish en route to an individual title, while the Arkansas State men's and women's cross country teams finished second in the team standings on Friday morning at the Sun Belt Conference Championships, held at the Graham Creek Nature Preserve.

In the men's race, A-State totaled 46 points to finish as runner-up behind App State. The women's squad edged Marshall for second, totaling 106 points. Since 2019, the Red Wolves have finished no worse than third at the conference cross country championships.

Pyeatt led a 1-2 finish for the Scarlet and Black in the men's 8K, becoming the first A-State men's runner since Bennett Pascoe in 2020 to win the individual crown, running a time of 23:52.
