SAN MARCOS, Texas (12/4/16) – Arkansas State senior defensive end Chris Odom has been named the Sun Belt Conference Defensive Player of the Week after he recorded five tackles, including a career-high four tackles for loss, and posted a game-high three sacks to help lead Arkansas State to a 36-14 road victory over Texas State that clinched the Red Wolves’ fifth Sun Belt Conference championship over the last six years.
His four tackles for loss tied the most by an A-State player this season and matched the second highest total in the Sun Belt Conference this year.
