JONESBORO, Ark. (2/24/18) – Shannon O'Brien battled back from a three-point deficit in the third set of her match to propel Arkansas State to a 4-3 victory over Southeast Missouri Saturday night at the Indoor Tennis Courts at the Jonesboro Country Club.
O’Brien cruised to a first set 6-0 victory over Kelly Sicha in the first set, but struggled to find her rythym in the second set in a 6-4 loss. In the third set, O’Brien fell behind 3-0 early, but battled back to take a 6-5 lead. Serving with a 40-15 advantage, O’Brien and Kelly exchanged a in a long rally before Kelly eventually returned a shot that went wide to give O’Brien and the Red Wolves the win.
