JONESBORO, Ark. (4/25/17) – The Arkansas State baseball team allowed Memphis to score the go-ahead run in the top of the ninth inning and the Tigers held on for a 2-1 victory Tuesday night at Tomlinson Stadium in Jonesboro.
A-State (20-20) reliever Tanner Kirby walked Jason Santana to begin the top of the ninth inning with the score tied 1-1 before a soft line out on a sacrifice bunt attempt and fly out to right field kept Santana at first. However, Santana advanced to second on a wild pitch and a walk put runners on first and second to bring up Tyler Webb.
