JONESBORO, Ark. (1/13/16) – The Arkansas State baseball team and supporters will gather to celebrate the upcoming season at the 2017 Grand Slam Banquet Tuesday, Feb. 14 at the Convocation Center. Doors for the event open at 5 p.m.
Former Major League pitcher Al Hrabosky, also known as “The Mad Hungarian”, will be the keynote speaker. Hrabosky pitched in 13 MLB seasons from 1970-1982 with the first eight coming as a member of the St. Louis Cardinals. A left-handed reliever, he registered a 64-35 record with a 3.10 ERA and 97 saves. His best season came in 1975 when he registered a 13-3 record with a 1.
