A-STATE/GEORGIA SOUTHERN SERIES HISTORY
• A-State and Georgia Southern have only met four times in school history in baseball, with all four contests coming a season ago. A-State lost two-of-three to the Eagles in Statesboro, Ga., March 20-21, but bounced back to defeat the fourth seed in the Sun Belt Conference by a score of 6-1 May 21 in Troy, Ala.
• A-State won the first meeting a season ago 3-1 in 13 innings March 20 and set the school record for strikeouts in a single game with 21 punch outs. Tyler Zuber began the game by recording the first 11 outs via strikeout and ended with 13 total in seven innings.
