JONESBORO, Ark. (6/4/18) – The late Calvin Harrell, a former two-time First Team All-America selection who helped lead the Arkansas State football team to the 1970 NCAA College Division national championship, has been selected to appear on the 2019 College Football Hall of Fame divisional ballot, announced Monday by the National Football Foundation (NFF) & College Hall of Fame.
A four-year letterman at A-State from 1968-71, Harrell is one of 100 players to appear on this year’s divisional ballot. Out of the 5.26 million individuals who have played college football all-time, just 997 players have earned induction into the College Football Hall of Fame, or less that two one-hundredths of a percent (.
