JONESBORO, Ark. (11/18/24) – Senior defensive end Bryan Whitehead has been named the Sun Belt Conference Defensive Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday.
Whitehead wreaked havoc throughout a 27-20 win at Georgia State that clinched bowl eligibility for the Red Wolves. Whitehead was credited with a career high five tackles, including a career best 3.5 TFLs and a career best 2.0 sacks. He also forced the first fumble of his career and added a quarterback hurry. According to PFF, Whitehead had four total pressures and all five of his tackles were stops, a tackle resulting in a failure for the offense.
